I’m so glad you stumbled upon my little corner of the internet. Welcome to “My Thousand Petals.” A space where every petal represents a unique experience or travel adventure that gets me one step closer to understanding myself, our Creator, and the incredible diversity this world has to offer.

My Thousand Petals is a universal mission, not just mine:

To give everyone a voice and a seat at the table: youth, animals, the land, and underrepresented communities. This mission comes to life through meaningful educational experiences like Youth Climate Action Summits and hands-on community action days. It’s a vision to cultivate a network of ecovillages, youth-led initiatives, and intentional tourism across the U.S. and the world, reviving our connection to land, culture, and one another.

Together, we’re co-creating a regenerative roadmap for travelers, locals, and visionaries alike. A new kind of living and tourism, not rooted in extraction, but in restoration, reciprocity, and resilience. One where every journey plants a seed, every gathering sparks transformation, and every voice helps shape a more sustainable, inclusive future.

Because I believe that the future of travel isn’t about consuming destinations, it’s about cultivating belonging and harmony wherever we go.

I’m Ceara, a 24-year-old with an insatiable curiosity for people, places, and purpose. Over the years, I’ve journeyed through 65 countries, and what began as a love for adventure has blossomed into a life dedicated to working alongside changemakers—grassroots nonprofits, elders, animal activists, Indigenous stewards, and visionary communities leading the way in environmental conservation, education access, and justice for the Earth and all its beings. Through this work around the world, I’ve committed to amplifying voices too often left out of mainstream media.

Whether trekking through the Ugandan jungle to witness silverback gorillas, building bottle schools in Guatemala, learning from teachers in the Himalayan mountains, advocating for animals in tourism, or helping start a nonprofit from the ground up (literally, starting with an empty plot of land), I’ve seen firsthand how the power of local action and connection to nature can save our Momma Earth… but also ourselves.

This blog is a place to share those stories, of places that moved me, people who inspired me, and projects worth amplifying. My hope is to connect you with these remarkable efforts and encourage you to step beyond the familiar, toward a life of greater impact and deeper connection.

Here’s to more adventures, shared growth, and a greener planet…

🌸 One step. One seed. One petal at a time.
